Ludovico makes such lovely music
On Monday, me and Claire met up once more. This time, instead of meeting up in town, I met her nearer to hers because she wanted to get some munchies from the shop and I needed to get milk and catfood.

I got a text from her in the morning informing me that she had got her period and I've never been so happy to hear that a girl is bleeding there. Pregnancy was now no longer an issue and it made me just as relieved as it did Claire.

While it's not the most exciting thing to do, going shopping with Claire felt strangely nice. Just being out with her. Together.

While waiting for the train home, she realised she had forgotten her inhaler again. Shame she doesn't have a few of them because she could leave one in mine.

We came back to mine. My mum was out at the time. I was going to introduce Claire to her. I put the catfood and milk away and made us both a drink, cuddling and kissing lots while the kettle was boiling. We then went upstairs and listened to some Ludovico Einaudi while Oogee sat between us, purring on the bed.

We both went on the PC for a bit, her sitting on my lap, my arms wrapped around her waist from behind while she browsed. I showed her my porn collection, haha. I also showed her lots of funny stuff that I had collected over the years. Made made her laugh.

We lay down on the bed after a while and cuddled lots with lots of kissing. I was getting horny and she could tell, as she began rubbing me, all the time kissing just as passionately as the day before.

She went the toilet at one point and I took the oppurtunity to get undressed and get in bed. When she returned she smiled at me and got in with me, clothed, only to realise that I wasn't and she went back to playing. Speaking of which, in the process of going to get her some paracetamol for her stomach, we ended up getting horny again and I started talking dirty to her and I played in front of her. What a turn on.

I got her the paracetamol, made some tea and also some pizza and then after that, she had to go because her chest was really wheezy, since she hadn't brought her inhaler. I took her back the station and she assumed that I'd say goodbye to her there, but I decided to get on the train with her and take her all of the way back to her stop instead, where we said goodbye and I watched her walk off and then I returned home.

Yesterday, I was meant to go to college, but didn't, due to being so very very tired. I went to bed tired and woke up tired. I just couldn't get out of bed. So, Tuesday was spent not doing much at all, just talking to my wonderful girlfriend online for most of the day about how we were looking forward to seeing each other and going to see Ludovico Einaudi together the following night. We ended up talking to each other till around 3am.

[03:28:13] God, Claire is so cool.: I've never seen you up so late. I don't wanna go to bed until you have. Don't wanna leave you on your own.
[03:28:29] CARPE DIEM BABY!: :-O ill be ok i was waitin 4 u :P

[12:56:16] CARPE DIEM BABY! *gripe of the day: bed at 3:45am up at 8am!*: very!

She went back to bed after a while and text me around 4pm, saying she was feeling pretty bad but that she was still coming. However, she text me again at about 5pm, asking me to call her so I did.

When she picked up, she was crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said that she was in a lot of pain from having a migraine, along with feeling generally ill. She said she was coming down with something and was burning up. It's not nice hearing your girlfriend cry when you can't even do anything about it. She said she that she didn't know if she could make it tonight and that it would probably be best if she stayed at home and while I was really really disappointed, I said that it was fine and that I'd go on my own. She said that she'd make it up to me and take me out, but I said that it didn't matter, just get better.

So, it meant that a 20 was now going to go to waste and it had already been purchased. I tried desperately to find someone else to go with, but no one I know likes classical music. I even called Jamie to see if he'd have any interest in going, but of course, he said no. So, I ended up going on my own.

I walked up to the Philharmonic at 7pm and collected my two tickets, then went to find my seat. I've never been in there before and when I went in the hall, it felt right. I felt like I was in my kind of place. It felt comfortable. I took my seat and looked at the seat besides me, thinking of Claire, wanting her to be with me.

The concert began just after 7:30pm and although it apparantly wasn't a sold out performance, it was pretty packed. As the lights went down, the entire hall fell silent within three seconds flat. That was so cool. To go from a room with at least 1500 people in it to absolute silence in three seconds is an experience on its own. I also took a moment to take in the architecture of the place, especially the ceiling, which looked as if it opened up into the night sky, but was actually housing for spotlights.

A few moments later and Mr. Einaudi came out of a side door and onto the stage to a warm welcome from the audience. He bowed and took his applause graciously. His black, open, polished piano was situated in the very centre of the stage, slightly on an angle so his hands were visible on the keys for everyone to see. The lights grew dim once more and centred soley on him and the piano and he took a few seconds to compose himself before he began.

The music was beautiful. I have never heard something like that, live. It was so enjoyable. Relaxing. His notes filled the hall perfectly, everyone listening intently and watching his fingers drift over the keys. Even though I was sitting quite a fair way back, I could still see him playing and pressing each key effortlessly to create his beautiful music. I couldn't help but smile on the outside and on the inside. I was glad it was dark, since I didn't want people seeing the cheesy grin on my face from being suddenly content.

His first piece lasted around six or seven minutes, I would say. I have no idea really, since I was so engaged in the music, but when he did finally come to an end, it was hard to actually tell when you were supposed to applaud, as even when he had finished pressing the keys, his hands were still hovering over them and then he'd press a few more. It was only when he finally brought his hands completely off the piano and rested them on his lap that the hall was filled with applause for a few seconds, before he began his second piece.

Around half way of the first half, he was joined by a cello player and together, they sounded perfect. The melodies that they both produced were very harmonious and watching both Ludovico and the cello player actually play was enjoyable in itself. I loved watching the cello player's bow glide over the strings in different ways, while his other hand would change chords and listening to how that affected the music. Lovely.

The interval came at 8:30pm and admittedly, I wasn't actually sure if it was an interval or he'd actually finished, since he got a standing ovation from quite a few people after he had stopped playing and the lights had come up. I chose to stay seated however, while everyone was moving around and when I seen the ushers beginning to sell ice cream I knew it was an interval and I waited patiently for him to begin once more. When he did, he was greeting with warmer applause than at the start. He was also accompanied by the cello player once more.

I was quite hypnotised by the music and I often lost track of what was going on, choosing instead to listen completely to the music and take myself out of my surroundings. It was only after a few minutes would I realise and once more, I'd be in a hall filled with people , all of their eyes focused on one man entertaining them. That's an amazing talent being able to do that.

At 9:30pm, both he and the cello player got up and took a bow together. Many people rose to the feet and applauded as they went off stage and then returned again to play another piece, after which they were greeted with more applause, exited, and Ludovico came out on his own to some very warm applause and even some woos. Quite a few cameras were going off as well, including mine.

This was his final piece and for it, he was one again joined by his cello player, after which they both recieved one final round of very warm applause and exited the stage for the last time. A very, very nice night out. I will definitely consider going to the Philharmonic more often from now on.
