Annoyed
Yesterday morning at around 4am, I watched a 70 minute speech by Al Gore, criticising George Bush for how he's handling his Presidency. I found it truly remarkable, really, the amount of passion Mr Gore has for actually keeping America a safe place and not acting like Bush has. You could hear the feeling in his voice when he spoke out against him. Many times he got standing ovations and rightly so. I may not be an American, but I know that if I had to choose between George W Bush and Al Gore as my President, I'd go for Al Gore every time.

When November comes and the American people have to vote, I sincerely hope the majority of them have enough sense to realise that having George W Bush as President for another four years is a seriously bad mistake and having someone like John Kerry would be a hell of a lot better. Granted, I know nothing about John Kerry, but I do know that any would be better than Bush.

I think that even though i'm not American, whoever is President of the United States affects the entire world, since unfortunately, the US is one hell of a powerful country, affecting many others around the world.

On another note, with the amount of torture allegations coming from Abu Ghraib and the simple fact that Bush went against the UN in going to war with Iraq under false pretences, I personally think he should be held for war crimes, not least because he's shown such disrespect for any kind of authority regarding the UN which America is supposed to be a part of.

I feel that if a Middle Eastern country acting the way George Bush has, the Western world would not tolerate it and plans would be made to apprehend whoever was in charge of leading all out war on a country on the basis of things that are untrue, such as Saddam Hussein was working with Osama bin Laden when 9/11 happened. Going to war with a country on false pretences should, if nothing else, earn Bush an impeachment. But will it happen? Of course not.

As Al Gore rightly said in his speech at the New York University, the removal of President Bush may not be an option and sadly, we have another 7 months of him in office. However, all the key people underneath him should immediatly resign, for example, the likes of Donald Rumsfeld to name but one.

I feel such frustration and anger towards Bush himself, due to the fact that he's been so arrogant and he's sent so many soldiers to their deaths because of it. I mean, he even taunted would-be terrorists to "bring it on" in one speech. Now why the hell would you do that?

The really sad thing is that polls indicate that Bush is still popular, with around 60% of American's actually liking him. How is that possible? Why? He's been an absolute terrible President, who will go down in history as the man who made the world hate America.
