She replied an hour or two ago to my last email with this:
"I am sorry that you dont see that what you have done is wrong.
You will be recieving a letter soon."
To which I replied:
"Hello.Please note that failure to actually provide any evidence that I've done anything wrong, yet accuse me of wrongdoing is now tantamount to harassment. Consder your course of action before pursuing it.
I will explain some key points to you again:
I have not done anything illegal. - Your failure to provide evidence and specific remedies does not bode well for a case of holding me libel. Again, I ask you to provide such evidence so I may address your concerns.
Failure to provide evidence, yet persistence of accusing me and now threatening me with legal action is harassment and will be looked on as such by any solicitor. Harassment is illegal under The Protection from Harassment Act 1997. I strongly advise you to think about this for your own benefit.
If you continue with these accusations and threats, I will be forced to consider action against them. I have been more than helpful to you regarding your concerns, but your behaviour is now becoming too serious to ignore and as such, I will protect myself from it if need be. Please think very carefully about what you're doing and take into consideration the points which I've raised in this email.I therefore request that you:
Provide proof that I have broken the law. If proof is not provided, then all further communication will be treated as harassment.

And now I wait again.
What a strange situation this is. I do everything I can to get her out of my life and she comes after me with the threat of legal action? What the FUCK?
I'd like to point out a few things just to clarify:
I've never given the password to this diary to her. I've never even given her the address of it. However, it's not exactly that hard to find the address of the diary via google so I'm not too worried about that. And I know she's probably signed my guestbook via a cached page on Google's servers, which she got the link from. For example, this page is a cached version of one of my old entries. None of the images are there, but there are links to my guestbook. Claire is quite the researcher so I'm not too surprised that she may have found it this way. However, as I said, she has never been given the password and has never read any of this diary so far as I know. If she has, then she's done it through an illegal manner.
Secondly, she has failed again and again to provide any supposedly damning evidence against me that I've written anything about her that's an invasion of privacy and/or is libellious.
Thirdly, I believe she's just using the whole "I'll be contacting my solicitor" thing as a way to get more attention. God only knows why she is so keen on keeping talking to me. Not only that, but the fact that she wants the username and password to this diary is fucked up. I don't particularly like the thought of having my ex reading about my life, past and present, especially about things that don't even concern her.
And fourthly, even if she is being serious about getting a solicitor and them sending me a letter, I don't recall ever giving Claire my address so where they'd actually send the letter to, I have no idea. She's been to my house twice, in total and it's not like there's a big sign outside the house noting the address and I certainly haven't posted my address anywhere online for the world to see.

And how true is that? Because that's basically what would happen isn't it, if Claire did decide to go and get herself a lawyer over this.
I'm still feeling scared though. It's not particularly nice being threatened with legal action, whether you're right or wrong. The consellation of course is that I'm most certainly right.
As a precaution, I've been saving all of my correspondance with her and hopefully if it does actually end up being a legal issue (God forbid), then I'll have some sort of evidence to prove that I was more than helpful with her and explaining to her that failure to provide EVIDENCE of any of my supposed crimes, yet persisting with the threats is very much harassment.
Even after quoting her two laws which she most certainly has broken, should she have gained access to my diary, she still seems intent on insisting that I'm the one who's in the wrong.
You're obviously free to go and have a read of any part of my diary and I invite you to do so. Go back to the end of February of this year and read through a few of those entries and tell me I'm guilty of breaking the law. Ugh.
